"Holy-Moly"

Just yesterday night, while in conversation with my extended family, my aunt commented "Yeah, don't play-play, now Sandra holy-moly already"

To which I was like "Eh?" because I didn't realize I had changed so much outwardly (i.e. I knew God was changing my thoughts about serving Him and changing my heart, but I did not consciously attempt to "seem holy in word and deed").

When it hit me that she was saying that "hey your behavious has changed to become one that reflects God more", I immediately reacted by laughing and then saying "wha are you sure not, no la" (i.e. the half-shy response of the conservative cultures). But inside, my heart and mind were lit up and dancing and cheering "YAY IM NOW GODLY BY NOT EVEN TRYING!!!!".

Not in the "Yeah it's not of my own effort, it's all God changing me" kind of response, but in the "Cool, I'm good huh! Don't even need to try" way.

That was me thinking that I stand ("Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed, lest he fall" -1 Cor 10:12). And by cheering in my heart, I had already fallen, because I attributed it to how good or how favoured I was.

We need to always watch ourselves and be so careful not to let our ego get in the way. By God's grace, through God's Word!

I'm back to stay, I think?

But only through reliance on God's Word. "Stay In God's Word" shall be my life mantra.

Because I am persuaded that just as God's inerrant Word has power to bring life to those who hear and do not reject it,
it also has the power to mold lives to be vessels fit for God's use. (i.e. empty of self, for God to fill).

On the book of 1 Samuel now and the Holy Spirit is showing me so much, I must read slowly and digest! Like the cow chewing its cud, where it chews, digests, then chews again, repeating the process.

"Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me. For the sake of Christ, then, I am content with weaknesses, insults, hardships, persecutions and calamities. For when I am weak, then I am strong."
